The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC), St. Thomas College of Engineering & Technology, Chengannur, in association with Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), organized an online session on “Introduction to Startup Ecosystem” on 13 October 2024 through Google Meet. The session was handled by Krishnakumar M.

The programme introduced students to Kerala’s startup ecosystem, entrepreneurship opportunities, incubation support, funding schemes, and innovation initiatives offered by KSUM. The session covered topics including startup development, prototype building, seed funding, YIP, Idea Fest, and accelerator programmes.

More than 70 students and faculty members participated actively in the interactive session, which included discussions and Q&A on startup formation, grants, and incubation support. The programme successfully enhanced entrepreneurial awareness among students and reinforced the institution’s commitment towards promoting innovation and startup culture through IEDC activities.
