Diploma in Oil & Gas QA/QC Inspection Engineering
St. Thomas College of Engineering &
Technology, in association with Techmex,
successfully launched a Diploma in Oil & Gas
QA/QC Inspection Engineering on February
6, 2025, for final-year students. The 70-hour
course, certified by TUV SUD, provided
ASNT NDT certification in six key areas,
including Ultrasonic Testing (UT),
Radiographic Testing (RT), Penetrant
Testing (PT), Magnetic Testing (MT), Visual
Testing (VT), and Radiographic Film
Interpretation (RTFI), along with training in
Piping/Pipeline Engineering and Welding
Technology.
This specialized program was exclusively
designed for final year (S8) students ,aiming
to enhance their technical expertise and
industry readiness in the oil and gas
inspection sector. The program aimed to
enhance industry-relevant skills, offering
hands-on training under expert guidance. The
initiative reinforced the institution’s
commitment to career-oriented education,
equipping students with essential
competencies for the oil and gas inspection
sector.
