GIT IT STARTED – INTRODUCTION TO GITHUB

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC), St. Thomas College of Engineering & Technology, Chengannur, organized an online workshop titled “GIT IT STARTED – An Introduction to GitHub” on 3 September 2025 through Google Meet. The session was handled by Joanne.

The programme introduced students to GitHub and basic version-control practices including repositories, commits, branching, pull requests, and collaborative workflows. Participants also attended a live demonstration on repository creation and GitHub operations.

Around 30 students actively participated in the interactive session and gained practical exposure to version control tools used in software development. The workshop successfully encouraged students to adopt GitHub for academic projects and collaborative learning.
