The NSS volunteers at STCET, with the help of the college management, organized a kalaripayattu show at the college auditorium. This is a great way to promote the ancient Indian martial art and to raise awareness of self-defense among the students. The CVN kalaripayattu team from Chengannoor hosted the show. This team is well-known for its expertise in kalaripayattu, and we sure that the students learned a lot from their performance. The fact that the team demonstrated a variety of kalaripayattu techniques, including kalari vandanam, cheriya vadi, valiya vadi, kadara, arrow, urumi, vaal, and paricha, is also commendable. This shows that the team wanted to give the students a well-rounded understanding of this martial art. The NSS team’s goal of raising awareness of self-defense among the students is also very important. Kalaripayattu is a great way to learn how to defend oneself against an attacker, and it is important for students to be aware of this option. We hope that the kalaripayattu show was a success and that it inspired many students to learn more about this martial art. We also hope that the students learned some valuable self-defense techniques that they can use if they are ever in a dangerous situation.
