This years annual intra college sports and games competion were conducted on November 10th at Kodumon Stadium Adoor in the name of RAPIDO 2K24. Prior to the event, the total students of the college were divided into four houses (Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby and Diamond) and the house masters were assigned. House wise meetings were held and the house masters along with respective students selected two house captains (1 boy and 1 girl) each from the four houses to coordinate the activities of their houses. The events were Marchpast, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m(only for girls ), 1500m (only for boys), long jump, discus throw, javelin throw, shot put, 4X100m relay. The whole staff members were divided in different committees for coordinating the entire event like jury of appeal, announcement, recording, certificate, medal and award, first aid, refreshment, photography, track event, jump event, throw event, etc.
The event started at 10:00 am with prayer by the college choir team followed by the welcome speech delivered by Mr. Muhammed Shiyas, Sports Secretary(STCET). The inaugural address was given by Mr. Daniel Baby, Motor Vehicle Inspector RTO Enforcement, Pathanamthitta. The felicitation speech was given by Er. Jose Thomas, Secretary(STCET) and Dr. G Venugopal, Principal(STCET) and the vote of thanks was given by Mr. Safwan Sidhik, College Union Chairman(STCET). The remaining programs were conducted as per the schedule.
Ms. Dhanniya Devi, Vice President Kodumon Panchayath and Er. Jose Thomas, Secretary(STCET) distributed the awards to the winners by the end of the event. The event was wound up with National Anthem by 4.00 pm.
