About the FDP
The growing challenges of urbanization demand intelligent, data-driven, and technology-enabled solutions for smart
cities and sustainable urban mobility. The offline Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled " Intelligent Systems
for Smart Cities and Urban mobility " aims to provide participants with insights into cutting-edge technologies,
infrastructure advancements, and policy frameworks shaping the future of smart cities and urban mobility.
The FDP will cover a wide range of topics, including Sustainable Urban development, Solid Waste management,
Smart Infrastructure, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), Road safety, Freight transportation, and Soil stability
analysis. Additionally, the program will focus on the role of AI, IoT, and data analytics in optimizing urban mobility
and resource management.
In addition to expert-led sessions, participants will gain hands-on training on relevant software tools, visit IoT lab,
and experience real-time urban mobility solutions through field visits to Smart City Traffic Management and Area

The Programme is open to the Faculty of AICTE approved Institutions, Research Scholars, PG Scholars,
Participants from Government and Industry interested in the field of Civil Engineering
